Truth Summit - The Pulse of Black Milwaukee
The Truth Summit empowers Milwaukee's Black community by amplifying voices, sharing stories, and fostering understanding through dialogue.

Direct Connect MKE is presenting a job fair. Information on employment and job training opportunities, supportive services and more will be provided. Individuals can also visit the Direct Connect MKE website to create a profile, connect with local career mentors and gain access to information about opportunities available right here in Milwaukee.
Beet Street Fall Festival
A neighborhood block party started in 2016 to celebrate food and music, and to give a platform to citywide community organizations. Rain or shine, Beet Street takes place the first Saturday of October from 1pm-7pm. The family-friendly celebration takes over the block of S. Wentworth Ave. between Potter (Goodkind) and Russell (Cactus).

Milwaukee Harbor Fest
Join us at Harbor Fest, a day where more than 4,500 people celebrate Milwaukee’s Inner Harbor and all the things that make it great.
At Harbor Fest you can release a baby sturgeon, tour UWM’s School of Freshwater Sciences, or spend hours doing other fun stuff all along the water. Take a free boat ride on the Inner Harbor, listen to great music, check out cool things happening in the Harbor District. Kids will love our bounce house, rock climbing wall, makers space, STEAM stage, and face painter! All for FREE!

The Banned Wagon at Milwaukee Central Library

Across America, book bans are on the rise, threatening to silence the voices of authors and deprive us of the stories that help us understand ourselves and the world around us. The Banned Wagon is hitting the road for its second Banned Wagon tour, stopping in communities across the Midwest and the South that are impacted by book banning. Bay View Bash
Established in 2004, the Bay View Bash is a community festival of food, art, music, crafts, books, and community organizations.The Bash is the main funding source of the Bay View Community Fund Inc, a IRS certified 501(c)4, Non-for-Profit Foundation. All proceeds from the Bay View Bash are directly invested back into our city’s neighborhoods through GRANTS to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations who request funding for special projects. Additionally, the Bay View Bash partners with local composting group Kompost Kids to continue efforts in moving the Bash toward a near Zero-Waste Festival.

The Jackson Park Farmer’s Market (JPFM), a collaborative venture with the Jackson Park Community Association, was established in 2015. It is an open-air concept which brings locally grown fruits, vegetables, and foods crafted by Wisconsin vendors to the Jackson Park and surrounding community residents. The Market is operated by volunteers who are passionate about the place we call home. We believe in supporting local businesses and engagement in healthy neighborhood activities.

The Summer of Soul: Outdoor Marketplace & Concert Series (SoS) is not just another summer event. A unique collaboration between Culture x Design and the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, SOS is a night full of diverse entertainment, local artisans, and food vendors under the open sky for audiences of all backgrounds and ages. Best of all, it's FREE.
National Voter Registration Day Carnival
Celebrate democracy with Milwaukee Public Library! Test your knowledge of voting and the electoral process, vote in a mock election, and take a turn at our prize wheel for some fun swag. Volunteers from the following organizations will be on hand to answer your questions about voting, eligibility, and access to the polls: City of Milwaukee Election Commission; League of Women Voters; Voces de la Frontera; Marquette University's Center for Urban Research, Teaching and Outreach; Souls to the Polls; UWM's Center for 21st Century Studies. Exercise your rights and help inform your community this National Voter Registration Day.
Riverwest Market 9/15
Our mission is to make fresh, naturally grown, local food accessible to all. On any given Sunday, you can expect to find a plethora of seasonal fruits and vegetables, local honey and eggs, freshly made bread, sweet bakery items, hand crafted body care items, and heaping bouquets of flowers.
Granville Harvest Fest
Join Granville BID for a whole bunch of FREE family fun including horse rides, arts and crafts, face painting, photo booths, and more! This event is fun for all ages.
Fondy Farmers Market 9/14
The Fondy Farmers Market is a century old market and Milwaukee’s most diverse farmers market, as well as the springboard for Fondy’s healthy food efforts. Tens of thousands of shoppers visit the market each year — primarily drawing from Milwaukee’s North Side, while welcoming visitors from across the region. Fondy proudly accepts SNAP benefits, WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Vouchers.
Near West Fest
Near West Side’s first-ever Near West Fest will kick off our 10-Year Anniversary celebration! Presented by the Harley-Davidson Foundation, this festival will be in the brand new Davidson Park. Free admission for the public will give attendees a chance to hear live music from DJ Kenny Perez, grab a bite to eat from food trucks, try the Molson Coors’ Near West Side 10 Year Beer, enjoy a special toast at the 1903 Tavern and beer garden, watch The Little Mermaid starting at dusk, and more!
